WRI Ross Center produces practical, data-driven research on how cities can deliver core services like housing, transport, water and sanitation to all residents.

Many cities do not have credible evidence on sustainability-focused solutions, which reinforces business-as-usual and makes it impossible to prioritize. Technical capacity and resources are lacking, and available data is not used to diagnose problems and improve practices.

Lessons from our on-the-ground engagements inform our research and vice versa, creating a crucial process of knowledge exchange. This allows us to turn big ideas into action and learn from them continuously.
