Research
The foundation of WRI’s work is producing high-quality research, including reports, issue briefs, working papers, guidebooks and more. Our publications are subject to peer review and held to academic standards of excellence for objectivity, rigor and quality. Our research products ultimately inform our projects and implementation work globally and in focus countries.
The World Resources Report is WRI's flagship publication. Started in 1986, World Resources Reports are published at regular intervals to provide in-depth analyses of issues ranging from human health and the environment to a sustainable food future. Our current edition, Towards a More Equal City, focuses on helping rapidly urbanizing regions alter their development trajectories as demand for infrastructure and services grows.
Our research publications are peer reviewed and held to traditional "academic" standards of excellence. We ensure that all our research publications are timely, targeted and rooted in a strategic plan for achieving positive change in the world.
