Rajat Shrestha
Research Associate, WRI U.S. Polsky Energy Center
Rajat Shrestha is a Research Associate in the WRI Polsky Center for the Global Energy Transition. In this role, Rajat conducts economic, statistical, and spatial data analysis on various projects focusing on the clean energy transition and associated economic and workforce impacts. Rajat also contributes to different research projects and analysis for the WRI Electric School Bus Initiative that advance the initiative's goal of an equitable transition of the U.S. school bus fleet to electric buses.
Prior to joining WRI, Rajat held research positions at the University of Chicago's Becker Friedman Institute for Research in Economics and the Nepal Economic Forum in Kathmandu.
Rajat holds a M.S. in Environmental Economics and Urban Planning from Tufts University and a B.A. in Political Economy from Bennington College.
In his spare time, Rajat enjoys following soccer, cooking Nepali and other cuisines, walking, watching documentaries, and reading.
