The Aqueduct Alliance brings together leading companies, governments and foundations, to gain strategic guidance and industry insight from the World Resources Institute's (WRI) Aqueduct Water Risk Atlas team and water stewardship activities.

The Aqueduct Alliance serves as a space for members to engage WRI, stay at the forefront of thought leadership in water stewardship, and drive innovation in the following areas:

  • Water stewardship strategies;
  • Water-related data, indicators, and tools;
  • Water integration into economic and financial analysis; and
  • Water risk and impact evaluation to food and energy systems.

Unlike other initiatives, the Aqueduct Alliance is an agile convening space that turns big ideas into action. Since its inception in 2011, the Aqueduct Alliance has helped improve sustainable water management across sectors by developing actionable data, tools, methodologies, analyses, and strategies.

Companies, governments and foundations are invited to join the Aqueduct Alliance to advance water stewardship best practice and WRI's Aqueduct Water Risk Atlas.

By participating in the Aqueduct Alliance, members join WRI in pursuing its mission and goal to achieve a water-secure future by mapping, measuring, and mitigating global water risks.

WRI’s Water team advances sustainable water management in the private sector by driving innovation in water-related data, tools and strategies. To learn more about WRI’s corporate water stewardship work, please visit our project page.

The Aqueduct Alliance is part of WRI’s Water Program and related to the Corporate Water Stewardship initiative. Interested in joining the Alliance? Contact Marc Dettmann.
