Methodology for the Database of Community Benefits Frameworks Across the US
This technical note is the methodology for the Database of Community Benefits Frameworks Across the US, which was created by WRI and Data for Progress.
Community benefits frameworks, such as community benefits agreements, have been used for decades in the United States. Such frameworks are used to provide benefits to a local community as part of the development of a specific project following a community engagement process. WRI and Data for Progress have created a Database of Community Benefits Frameworks Across the US, which includes information on a variety of such frameworks.
This technical note provides the Methodology for this Database, detailing the motivations behind the database, the selection criteria for the community benefits frameworks it includes and more.
