These proceedings come from a June 2026 roundtable that brought together participants from governments, international organizations, development finance, banks, and investors, as well as civil society and academia from Global North and Global South. The discussion focused on how to translate growing political momentum behind accelerating the transition away from fossil fuels (TAFF) into practical financial system interventions. These intervention points include international policy (such as Santa Marta and the UNFCCC global dialogue) as well as specific actions by financial institutions, such as central banks and regulators, development finance institutions (DFIs), commercial banks, and institutional investors both through organized alliances as well as individual actors.
