Vishant Kothari
Senior Manager, School Bus Electrification and Battery Circularity, WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities
Vishant Kothari is a Senior Manager for School Bus Electrification and Battery Circularity. He works to accelerate transportation electrification across cities through policy recommendations, roadmap analysis and tool development, pilot demonstrations and researching new technologies. He also oversees relevant growth strategy and business development activities.
Prior to joining WRI, Vishant worked as a program and innovation manager. His diverse, global and purpose-led experiences include managerial positions at Advanced Energy Group, a start-up engagement platform to help US cities overcome barriers to decarbonization; Asian Development Bank, a multilateral organization driven to end poverty and AIESEC, a global non-profit to scale youth leadership. He is also an On Deck Climate Tech Fellow.
Vishant holds an M.S. in Sustainability Management from Columbia University's Earth Institute and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Manipal University, India.
Vishant lives in Washington, D.C. and enjoys taking full advantage of the city's bikeshare system.
