Sarah Brown is a Writer and Editor Specialist at World Resources Institute, where she edits content for WRI.org, including Insights, the organization's staff expert blog. Before joining WRI, she worked as an environmental journalist with a focus on South America, particularly Brazil. Her reporting has appeared in Mongabay, the BBC, the New Humanitarian, the Evening Standard, and other publications.

Sarah holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Royal Holloway, University of London, and a Postgraduate Diploma in TV and Radio Journalism from Griffith College Dublin, Republic of Ireland.

Based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Sarah spends her free time hiking, long-distance trail running, exploring the country's rich natural landscapes — often accompanied by her beloved dog, Zac.
