Bo Li
Research Associate II, Forest Legality Initiative

Bo is a Research Associate with the Forest Legality Initiative in the Forests Program. Bo leads Forest Legality Initiative’s program development and management related to China and works to develop integrated approaches to global sustainable supply chains for agricultural and forest products. Bo previously worked with the Global Restoration Initiative at WRI accessing the motivating, enabling, and implanting factors of land restoration in Ecuador.
Prior to joining WRI, Bo was a research assistant at Johns Hopkins University conducting research on carbon tax and environmental policies in China.
Bo holds an M.A. in international relations from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in Washington D.C. and a B.A. in development economics from Peking University in China.
In his free time, Bo enjoys hiking, taking photos, exploring new restaurants, and watching basketball games. He is a big San Antonio Spurs fan.
