Güneş Cansız is the Director of WRI Türkiye where she leads a team of professionals working on implementation projects in Turkey.

Prior to joining WRI, she has managed projects inside and outside Turkey funded by the Open Society Foundation, Texas Civil Registry, European Union, Development Agencies and USAID. Güneş brings more than 10 years of NGO project experience to WRI Türkiye and provides strategic management to our sustainable cities work in Turkey.

Güneş holds a degree in Management from the University of Istanbul and an MBA from the University of Marmara and PhD in European Union Economics from the University of Marmara. She has also completed European Union Program and European Union, Integration and NGO's Program from Istanbul Bilgi University.
