The historic 2015 Paris Agreement set a goal of limiting warming to well below 2 degrees C, and to pursue efforts to limit it to 1.5 degrees C. In 2020, countries must come forward with more ambitious climate commitments to set the course for a net-zero emissions future that can avoid the worst consequences of climate change.

To track the latest climate commitment announcements and long-term strategies, Climate Watch recently launched the 2020 NDC Tracker and the Long-term Strategies (LTS) Tracker. The trackers follow country announcements and details and show the progress of global climate goals. Experts will provide insights into recently announced intentions to strengthen national climate commitments, which countries are leading on ambition, and what to expect going into 2020.

Join our webinar for an overview of Climate Watch and how its open data and tools is helping governments, researchers and the media gather resources to communicate about and advance climate action. Latest features include these new trackers, new greenhouse gas emissions data, a module on the agriculture sector and more.

Following the demonstration, there will be plenty of time for Q&A with experts.
