Climate Watch, launched at COP23 in 2017, is an online platform that offers open data, visualization and analysis to help policymakers, researchers, media and other stakeholders gather insights on national and global progress on climate change.
During the webinar experts will showcase core functions of Climate Watch, including:
- National Determined Contributions (NDCs) module, which allows users to explore and compare climate commitments across countries.
- GHG emissions module, which makes it easy to analyze, visualize and compare the latest international GHG emissions data since 1850. The module allows users to segment the data by gas, source and country.
- Newly launched agriculture sector module, which offers insight into the sector’s global emissions contribution, main drivers, and country action plans to reduce sector emissions. Users will also learn about Climate Watch’s latest improvements and upcoming features.
Following the demonstration, experts will take attendee questions and offer guidance on how the data can be best used.
