Xixi Chen
Manager, Clean Energy

Xixi Chen is an energy professional with analytical, policy, and engagement experiences in the energy management and clean energy field.
Before joining WRI, Xixi worked at the Environmental Defense Fund to initiate and strengthen corporate partnerships and expand EDF's programs internationally, such as the Climate Corps program and green supply chain initiatives. Her work at EDF helped the business sectors in the U.S., China, and India better interpret energy policies, develop strategies, and implement solutions in commercial and industrial energy efficiency, demand-side management, and supply chain GHG emissions reduction. As a certified Energy Manager, Xixi has also worked at the Association for Energy Affordability to save energy in multi-family buildings for the lower-income communities in New York.
Xixi holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from Peking University in China and a Master's degree in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is originally from Beijing and currently works remotely from New York City.
When not working, Xixi enjoys outdoor sports, learning languages, and exploring the city on her bike.
