Siba El-Samra
Urban Mobility Associate, WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities
Siba is an Urban Mobility Associate for Health and Road Safety at WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities.
Prior to joining WRI, Siba worked at Toole Design Group in the DC area. She served as a licensed Landscape Architect and Urban Planner where she worked on a number of green infrastructure, landscape design and bike and pedestrian facility projects from concept to construction. She also developed a variety of corridor studies, safety audits for Safe Routes to Schools programs, and transportation plans through research and public engagement processes throughout the U.S.
Siba grew up in Lebanon where she received her undergraduate degree and started her career with the Center for Civic Engagement and Community Service as a landscape designer and project coordinator (CCECS). At CCECS she led a number of sustainable, community based projects from the design to construction in refugee camps and rural communities.
Siba holds dual masters in City & Regional Planning and Landscape Architect from Cornell University, and a BSc in Landscape Design & Eco-System Management and Diplôme D'Ingénieur Agricole from the American University of Beirut.
