Laura is a manager with the Cities4Forests initiative at WRI Colombia where she works to incorporate nature-based solutions into infrastructure investment projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. She is currently leading projects in Colombia, Costa Rica and Honduras. Laura works with water and sanitation companies, energy companies, financial institutions, and national and subnational governments to develop strategies that support greater knowledge and investment in nature-based solutions for climate adaptation.

Laura has a master's degree in International Relations with a focus on Energy, Natural Resources and Environment from the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University and has an undergraduate degree in Economics from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
