Laura Bulbena Janer
Nature-based Solutions Specialist, Cities4Forests

Laura Bulbena Janer is a Nature-based Solutions Specialist with the Cities4Forests team at World Resources Institute where she focuses on incorporating nature-based solutions into infrastructure investment projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. She works with financial institutions, utilities, donors, and national and subnational governments to develop strategies that support increased investment in nature-based solutions.
Her professional experience has been focused on the energy, water and sanitation sectors of countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, having worked at CAF-development bank for Latin America and as a consultant in the private sector.
Laura holds a M.A. in International Relations with a focus in international economics, energy, resources, and the environment from John Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), and a B.A. in Economics from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
In her free time, Laura loves reading and hiking. She is based in Bogotá, Colombia.
