Laura Azeredo
Urban Development Coordinator, WRI Brasil Ross Center for Sustainable Cities
Laura works at WRI Brasil Sustainable Cities as an Urban Development Coordinator. She works on the implementation of the TOD (transit-oriented development) strategy, including the development of studies and research related to sustainable urban development and urban policies in Brazilian cities. She is the author of the publication “TOD in the Master Plans”.
Prior to joining WRI, Laura was part of the UFRGS Urban Technology research group, collaborating in the developing of master, strategic, and housing plans. As an urban planner, she developed master and sector plans, including mobility plans, urban requalification, and urban design projects.
Laura holds a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. She holds a specialist degree in Strategic Management of Urban Territories, from Unisinos' post-graduation program and an inter-university degree from Ecole d'Urbanisme de Paris in partnership with the Institut d'Aménagement and d'Urbanisme d'Ile-de-France.
