Kirian Mischke-Reeds
Research Analyst, Raising National Climate Ambition
Kirian Mischke-Reeds is a Research Analyst in the Climate Program. He supports WRI's research and capacity-building work with high-impact countries to align their mid-century decarbonization pathways with short-term mitigation obligations under the Paris Agreement.
Prior to joining WRI, Kirian earned a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Economics with a minor in Environmental Studies at the University of Southern California. As an undergrad, he interned at Climate XChange, the Los Angeles Mayor's Office of International Affairs, and the Atlantic Council. He spent significant time as a senior researcher for the Gibson Climate Justice Lab, where he closely followed UNFCCC negotiations. Following his undergraduate career, Kirian stayed at USC to finish his Master's in Public Diplomacy, before going on to complete an MPhil in Environmental Policy at the University of Cambridge.
In his free time, Kirian likes to exercise his body and mind, spending a lot of time running, doing yoga, meditating, cooking, and strength training.
