Jessica Wang
Technical Associate, Electric School Bus Initiative, WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities
Jessica Wang is the Technical Associate for WRI's Electric School Bus Initiative, which aims to electrify the entire fleet of school buses across the United States by 2030. She provides school districts with technical assistance and support to help reduce the barriers in transitioning to electric fleets.
Prior to joining WRI, Jessica was the Transportation Program Coordinator and Interim Assistant Director of Transportation at Emory University working to grow demand for sustainable modes of transportation, develop campus bicycle infrastructure and programming, and support shuttle and fleet operations.
Jessica holds a dual B.A. in Environmental Studies and Political Science from Emory University as well as a M.Sc. in Global Environment, Politics, and Society from the University of Edinburgh.
Jessica splits her free time between tending to her indoor houseplant jungle and engaging in civic and electoral activities. She is also a public transit enthusiast and advocate, serving on MARTA's Riders' Advisory Council.
