Carolina Faccin
Data Analyst, Cities Program, WRI Brasil
Carolina is a Data Analyst for the Cities Program at WRI Brasil. She is part of the Urban Adaptation team and provides support to other areas, such as Urban Development, Urban Mobility, and Transport Decarbonization. Her work involves technical expertise in spatial analysis and the construction of georeferenced databases, as well as proposing methodologies, developing indices, and conducting studies applied to urban and climatic themes.
Throughout her academic and professional career, Carolina has participated as a data analyst and researcher in the development of municipal master plans and in various research projects on regional development, contemporary urbanization dynamics, and urban morphology at different scales - in both metropolises and medium-sized and small cities.
Carolina holds a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of Santa Cruz do Sul (UNISC) and a Master's and PhD in Urban and Regional Planning from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), with a doctoral internship at the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning (IGOT) at the University of Lisbon.
