Alex Simpkins is the Communications Specialist for the National Climate Action (NCA) team.

Prior to joining WRI, Alex worked as an associate press secretary for the Sierra Club, covering federal budget and policy. He was also the social media manager for the Sunshine State Collegiate Baseball League. He also served as a press intern for the offices of the Senator Joe Donnelly (D-IN) and Senator Jon Tester (D-MT). He has also worked as a freelance speechwriter.

He holds an M.A. in Political Communication from American University, and a B.S. in Biology from the University of Maryland, College Park.

He and his wife live in Reston, VA.
