Alberto leads strategic partnerships and Europe initiatives at WRI Europe. He focuses on building and nurturing strategic partnerships, developing multi-country initiatives, and turning relationships with Europe-based organizations into results-driven collaborations for people, nature, and climate.

Alberto played a key role in building WRI’s presence in Europe, joining the organization as its first employee in Europe in 2015. In 2021, he was instrumental in launching WRI Faith and Sustainability, where he served as Head of the initiative.

Before joining the World Resources Institute, Alberto worked with the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA, ACP-EU), an international development organization; the European University Institute (EUI), a research institute; a justice institute in The Hague; the Italian Consulate General in Miami; and a human rights NGO in Italy.

Alberto holds a cum laude master’s degree in Political Science from La Sapienza University of Rome, a second master’s degree in International Communication from Hanze University of Groningen, and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Roma Tre University.

Outside of work, Alberto is a vinyl collector with a passion for music, movies, and travel, and an enthusiastic supporter of A.S. Roma football club.
