COP26 Shorts: Circular Economy
This new series of short WRI podcasts looks at why COP26 matters for different issues. In this episode Nicholas Walton looks at the circular economy with Stientje Van Veldhoven. Other episodes explore oceans, cities, clean air, business, food and land use, and an overall look at the state of play ahead of COP26.
Stientje van Veldhoven, Regional Director, WRI Europe
“One real missing piece of the puzzle is to look beyond energy to our consumption and production, to a circular economy. We’ve been used to decoupling energy use from CO2 emissions, and now we have to decouple our consumption patterns from them as well. And we can do that, there are many strategies.”
