ADVISORY: WRI’s Stories to Watch in 2018
WASHINGTON — Join WRI for Stories to Watch 2018 on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. Now in its 15th year, Dr. Andrew Steer, president & CEO, World Resources Institute, will unveil insights on the major economic, environment and development stories that will shape the world in the coming year. The event be held in the James A. Harmon Center in WRI’s Washington, D.C., office.
After a turbulent year marked by shifting political dynamics and super-charged disasters, WRI will look at some of the most urgent issues for 2018. Will states, cities and business lead on climate action? Will China and India advance their renewable energy goals? Will countries’ tackle air pollution and threats to the ocean? Will drought and famine lead to more conflict?
