Companies are increasingly committing to robust water goals that aim to reduce their negative impacts on water resources. The last decade has seen progressive companies look beyond their facility walls to address shared water challenges, such as limited supplies, in the catchments where they operate, source materials from or sell products. These companies are investing in projects designed to address such challenges while also increasing resilience.

Published in 2019, Volumetric Water Benefit Accounting guidance has become the unofficial industry standard for companies to quantify the volume of water resulting from their stewardship activities. Since then, corporate water stewardship has evolved, and priority water challenges have escalated and expanded, with a greater focus on water quality.

To respond to this changing landscape and new demand, WRI worked with LimnoTech and The Nature Conservancy to produce Water Quality Benefit Accounting (WQBA) guidance. This webinar series, will introduce companies, project implementers, and other interested parties to WQBA.
