Climate Compatible Growth (CCG) COP29 Transport Day is a half day event in partnership with Asian Development Bank, German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), High Volume Transport, SLOCAT (Partnership on Sustainable, Low Carbon Transport), and World Resources Institute. CCG Transport Day will discuss with a wide range of stakeholders how to facilitate a transition and reflect on decarbonizing of the transport sector.

The half day event will share the latest knowledge products on issues such as data, climate finance, a transport decarbonization index, and follow up discussions from the Hamburg Charter on Just Mobility and the Transport.

In this event, WRI will launch a new working paper on climate finance in the transport sector, drawing from research on a global database of climate finance to identify opportunities for scaling up private and development finance in the sector. The paper is part of a partnership with the High Volume Transport program of UK Aid. CCG is a UK Aid-funded project which aims to support investment in sustainable energy and transport systems to meet development priorities in the Global South.
