Climate Data 101: How To Use Climate Watch
Climate Watch is a free online platform designed to empower policymakers, advocates, researchers, media and other stakeholders with the open climate data, visualizations and resources they need to gather insights on national and global progress on climate change.
Join us on April 27th at 10 AM EDT | 4 PM CEST for an interactive training to learn how to use Climate Watch to gain insights on countries’ climate commitments, generate custom visuals and access raw data for further analysis. This training will give an overview of the platform and the ways you can use it to find data and better understand climate commitments, greenhouse gas emissions and more.
For instance, the tools on Climate Watch:
- Provide overviews and comparisons of national climate commitments (NDCs) under the Paris Agreement
- Provide overviews and comparisons of countries’ long-term climate strategies
- Track countries that have net-zero emissions targets
- Showcase historical emissions data for all countries
During and following the training, attendees are encouraged to ask questions and request demonstrations for how to access useful data.
