A shift to a circular economy will impact labour markets around the world: there will be change of nature in conventional jobs and an emergence of circular jobs in new markets. This will also have an impact on the combinations of skills that workers will be required to adapt to, and in addition, for employers to develop new mindsets and skills to adapt to changing environments.

The session aims to highlight how the workforce is a key lever for transformation towards the circular economy and vice-versa. The session specifically aims to shed light on the opportunities to create decent jobs and sustainable enterprises across whole value chains in different sectors like electronics, plastics, textiles amongst others.

This event is an Accelerator Session at the World Circular Economy Forum 2022 (www.WCEF2022.com).
