Yiqian is the Senior Manager, Climate and Electric Mobility at the WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. As part of the Global Electric Mobility team, she supports governments in advancing their Paris Agreement goals through electrification and broader transport decarbonization strategies. Her work spans research and modeling, data analysis, cross-sector collaboration, and technical assistance on electric mobility, freight and logistics, climate policy and action in transport, and climate finance.

With over a decade of experience across more than 20 countries, Yiqian has worked with governments, businesses, and civil society to drive sustainable mobility solutions. Prior to joining WRI, she was the Senior Officer, Sustainable Mobility at ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability, where she led a global portfolio of projects on electric mobility, urban freight, and active transport, supporting local and regional governments worldwide. Earlier in her career, she worked at a nonprofit business association in Shanghai, where she focused on event management and member capacity-building.

Yiqian holds a joint Master’s degree in Erasmus Mundus Global Studies from the University of Vienna and the University of Leipzig, and a Bachelor of Management in Public Administration from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing.

Outside of work, she is an avid runner who also enjoys cycling and combat sports. She lives in Düsseldorf, Germany, with her husband.
