Wira is the Climate Action Senior Lead at WRI Indonesia, responsible for project management and providing substantive inputs to the portfolio under the Climate team.

As a dedicated professional in the field of Development, Wira has a wide range of experience in various agencies since the beginning of his career. He has worked as a staff in a government agency, a project assistant in a peat-related project at UNDP Indonesia with a project value of more than USD 6 million, a business consultant in the market system development in the maize sector at PRISMA 2, and a programme manager in renewable energy and climate at IESR. In addition, he has worked as a consultant classroom facilitator for a training project on hydropower in Pakistan. Through these experiences, he has made several achievements such as managing portfolios in climate policy and diplomacy, sustainable finance, and just transition; establishing a gendered approach to mobile maize seed marketing during the pandemic; pushing for a Just Transition approach at the national level; and creating strategic partnerships with three maize companies.

Wira holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations (S.H.Int.) from Universitas Padjadjaran in Indonesia and dual master's degrees (Master in Transdisciplinary Social Development/MTSDev and M.A. in Environment, Development, and Peace) from Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines and the UN-mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica. He obtained the dual master's degree through the Asia Peacebuilders Scholarship.

Outside of his professional activities, Wira's hobbies include listening to songs, reading books, trying culinary delights and cafes, and writing.
