Victor Lopes is a Research Analyst in Economics and Finance for Nature at WRI Brasil. He is part of the EFN team and supports the development and implementation of conservation, restoration, and sustainable production projects within the Forests program.

Before joining WRI Brasil, Victor worked in the Green Finance and Innovation sector at ICLEI South America, playing a leading role in the development of climate and biodiversity projects with subnational governments in Brazil and other countries in the region, accelerating the implementation of public policies for sustainable development in cities and forests. He also supported the development of environmental and sustainability public policies in the office of a state legislator at the São Paulo State Legislative Assembly.

Victor Lopes holds a degree in Administration from the University of São Paulo and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Environmental Science at the same university, conducting research on the governance of public policies for forest landscape restoration in Brazil.
