Tom Meyer
Communications Manager, Electric School Bus Initiative, WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities
Tom Meyer is the Communications Manager for WRI’s Electric School Bus Initiative, which aims to engage partners in the goal of electrifying the U.S. school bus fleet by 2030.
Prior to joining WRI, Tom worked in climate advocacy communications and communications and change management consulting. Most recently, he served as Digital Campaign Manager for The Climate Reality Project, where he oversaw digital communications designed to drive action to solve the climate crisis. Prior to Climate Reality, Tom was a consultant at Willis Towers Watson, where he helped organizations of all sizes navigate complex changes and business transformations through streamlined and targeted communications.
Tom holds Master’s of Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
Tom is originally from the Chicago area, and currently lives in Washington, D.C. In his free time, Tom enjoys traveling, playing tennis, and any opportunity to get out into nature.
