Tiago Silveira is a Urban Financing Analyst in the Cities program at WRI Brasil. It operates in the development and execution of research, initiatives and projects to finance sustainable urban solutions with a focus on Brazilian municipalities and urban areas.

Before joining WRI Brasil, he worked in private consultancies, contributing to territorial planning and economic development in different regions of the country. His experience covers projects in local, metropolitan and state governments in different Federative Units, including Rio Grande do Norte, Espírito Santo, Paraná, Santa Catarina, Piauí, Minas Gerais and Rio Grande do Sul.

Tiago is an economist graduated from UFRGS, with a specialization in Strategic Management of Urban Territories and an MBA in People Management from UNISINOS. Undertook training on Financiamiento urbano a través del cobro de cargas urbanísticas at the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy. He has a master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from UFRGS, and is currently working on a doctorate in the same program, consolidating his expertise in the area.
