Teresa Meira is a Senior Climate Action Analyst at WRI Brasil. She is part of the Climate, Economics, and Finance team and conducts research on long-term strategies and planning.

Before joining WRI Brasil, Teresa worked on projects focused on climate justice, just transition, and the commons. She also served as a consultant on Adaptation and Implementation for the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Teresa Meira holds a degree in Environmental Engineering, as well as a master’s degree from Nova University of Lisbon (Portugal), and a Ph.D. in Economics from Fluminense Federal University (RJ, Brazil). She has conducted postdoctoral research in Ecological Economics (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) and Applied Social Sciences (University of Coimbra, Portugal).

She currently serves on the Regional Board of the Brazilian Society for Ecological Economics (EcoEco) for the Central-West region.
