Sonja is the EU Desk Assistant at the World Resources Institute's Europe office. Previously, she was an EU Engagement Intern at the WRI Europe office in The Hague.

She received her MSc in Environmental Sciences, specialising in Environmental Policy and Economics from Wageningen University.

Previously, she worked in Berlin, first creating professional development seminars for the public sector and afterwards in regulatory affairs for an industry association. Before that, she lived in the UK and completed her Bachelor’s degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Goldsmiths University in London.

She is originally from Germany and moved to the Netherlands around three years ago. Sonja's personal interests include swimming, yoga, art and photography.
