Simon Ndoria is the P4G Regional Investment Manager Africa. He supports early-stage climate businesses implementing solutions across food, water, and energy systems to become investment ready. This entails origination of partnerships, acceleration, and graduation. He is also tasked with advancing enabling policy, regulatory reforms, and knowledge related to how to enable greater flows of global climate capital to local climate businesses.

Prior to joining WRI, Simon worked at an Innovation transition to Scale lead at Science for Africa Foundation. In this role he enabled start-ups in health, climate, and agriculture to be investment and scale-ready by facilitating innovative finance, entrepreneurial capacity development, technical support, and ecosystem interventions. His previous engagement was with Amref health Africa. In this role, he led the setting up of the Innovate for life accelerator program which targets early-stage ventures in Health, WASH and Nutrition. Before transitioning to the non-profit world Simon was a Small & Medium Enterprises (SME) banker with Sidian Bank in Kenya.

Simon holds a master’s degree in finance from Moi University. He has certification in financial modelling from University of Cape town, and a data science and business analytics certificate from the University of Texas at Austin.

Outside work Simon enjoys outdoor activities including running, swimming, and hiking.
