Sebastian Arbelaez
Energy Specialist
Sebastian is an Energy Specialist in the Climate, Economy, and Finance program, responsible for leading the technical generation of knowledge to drive the sustainable energy agenda in Colombia. His focus areas include non-conventional renewable energy sources and energy efficiency.
His professional experience spans ten years in both the private and public sectors, holding various positions within the Non-Conventional Energy and Energy Efficiency Management Fund (FENOGE), notably serving as Deputy Director of Technical-Energy Affairs and Coordinator of Energy Efficiency Management. Additionally, he worked in the Contracts and Monitoring Subdirectorate at the Institute for Planning and Promotion of Energy Solutions for Non-Interconnected Zones - IPSE.
Sebastian holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Engineering from Universidad de los Andes, with a master’s degree in industrial engineering.
