Mauro Paradella
Energy and Industry Decarbonization Manager, WRI Brasil
Mauro Paradella is Manager of Energy and Industry Decarbonization at WRI Brazil, where he leads the development of strategies to accelerate the energy transition and the decarbonization of industrial processes. His work focuses on enabling large-scale solutions through the integration of public policies, financial mechanisms, and the promotion of low-carbon value chains, consistently seeking strategic alignment between the supply of clean energy and the demand from energy-intensive sectors.
Prior to joining WRI Brazil, Mauro worked as a sustainability and climate change consultant across various economic sectors. He built his career leading the climate strategy agenda in large multinational corporations, where he was responsible for initiatives such as emissions accounting, energy transition, climate risk management, and the decarbonization of value chains.
Mauro Paradella holds a Master’s degree in Sustainability from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), in partnership with the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). He also holds a postgraduate degree in Bioclimatic Strategies from the University of São Paulo (USP) and a bachelor’s degree from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie.
