Maria Alejandra Achury
Financial Solutions Fellow, Electric School Bus Initiative, WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities

Alejandra Achury is a Financial Solutions Fellow in the Electric School Bus Initiative. She will be supporting WRI’s efforts by providing analyses of the electric bus market to inform stakeholders and help low-income districts change their bus fleets.
Prior to joining the team, she worked as a business analyst at Idea Foundry, researching the social entrepreneurial ecosystem and developing partnerships to create programs for social entrepreneurs in Colombia.
In addition, Alejandra is a graduate student in the Master of Science, Public Policy, and Management at Carnegie Mellon University. She obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration, with a major in Economics, at Baruch College in New York City.
Throughout her career, Alejandra has set out to use her experience in business and public policy to seek solutions for a more sustainable society.
