Lucienne Wilmé
National Coordinator, Madagascar Program
Lucienne Wilmé is the National Coordinator for WRI in Madagascar.
She has worked for more than 30 years in field-based inter- and multidisciplinary research projects with a focus on birds, mammals, forest and wetland ecosystems. Lucienne’s extensive expertise in biodiversity research and conservation has led to multiple peer-reviewed publications in internationally renowned journals and the development of the Noe4D biodiversity database with over 50 000 samples. Lucienne is also an associate senior researcher with the Missouri Botanical Garden, and the Editor-in-Chief of the peer reviewed journal Madagascar Conservation & Development.
Lucienne holds a PhD in biogeography from the University of Strasbourg in France.
