Lucas Franco Lima is a Transport Decarbonization Analyst at WRI Brasil, working on projects aimed at reducing emissions in the transport sector. He is currently involved in projects regarding freight transport decarbonization, contributing to the development of national guidelines and the engagement of key stakeholders in the field.

Before joining WRI Brasil, he worked on projects at the Urban Mobility Observatory of the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and as a consultant for the Infrastructure and Mobility Secretariat of the State of Santa Catarina, focusing on electronic ticketing and financial diagnostics of public transport systems.

Lucas holds a degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU) and a bachelor's degree in Design Engineering from Middlesex University in the United Kingdom. He earned a master's degree in Automation and Systems Engineering at UFSC, researching bus headway control, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at the same institution, focusing on public transport financing. Part of his Ph.D. research was conducted at University College London (UCL) in the United Kingdom.
