As a Senior Institutional and Internal Communications Analyst at WRI Brasil, Kátia supports the development and implementation of strategies and activities that strengthen the organization's engagement with its diverse audiences, both internal and external.

Kátia holds a degree in Journalism from the University of São Paulo and has 16 years of experience as a reporter and editor in major Brazilian newsrooms, including O Estado de S. Paulo, Folha de S. Paulo, G1, Editora Globo, and National Geographic Brasil.

She spent five years working in the Communications department of the Akatu Institute, an NGO focused on conscious consumption. From 2018 to 2025, she worked as a freelancer, specializing in cause communication. During this period, she was involved in the planning and execution of WWF-Brazil projects, such as Restaura Natureza – a school restoration Olympics – and a partnership with Mauricio de Sousa Produções, from 2022 to 2025.
