Katharina Wache
Research Assistant, Corporate Water Stewardship

Katharina is a Research Assistant on WRI's Corporate Water Stewardship team. She conducts thought-leading research and analysis related to corporate water risk, impacts, management, target setting, and stewardship for companies, sectors, and industries. This includes assisting with the Aqueduct tools suite and answering user requests.
Prior to joining WRI, she was a Corporate Sustainability Analyst at Environmental Resource Management (ERM), where she supported Double Materiality assessments and CSRD-aligned reporting. She holds a Master’s in Environmental Sciences from Wageningen University and Research in the Netherlands, where she focused on systems analysis, water management, and modelling. Before that, she earned her Bachelor's in Environmental Sciences with a focus on natural sciences in Germany, her home country.
Outside work, she likes to dance, cook, and do photography.
