Gustavo Pacheco is the Forests Project Coordinator at WRI Brasil. He is part of the Forests, Food Systems and Land Use team and collaborates in the management of the program's processes, activities and institutional strategy.

Before joining WRI Brasil, Gustavo worked as a Project Analyst at CDP LatAm on forestry projects with international donors. He also worked as a supply chain/reforestation coordinator at an environmental consultancy in Brazil, working on the development, budget management, implementation and completion of forest restoration projects for individuals and companies, meeting the demands of the Public Prosecutor's Office and the Environment Secretariats. In this position, he has also developed pilot ILPF projects using Macaúba for the sustainable production of biofuels in consortium with agriculture and conservation.

Gustavo Pacheco is a biologist from Mackenzie Presbyterian University and has a postgraduate degree in Environment and Sustainability from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV).

In his spare time, Gustavo enjoys playing electric guitar in his 3 bands and teaching English.
