Gilbert Muvunankiko
Communications Specialist, Global Restoration Initiative, WRI Africa

Gilbert Muvunankiko is a Communications Specialist with the Global Restoration Initiative, based in Kigali, Rwanda. He supports the team's global communications, with a focus on AFR100, Africa's locally led land restoration alliance.
Previously, he worked as the Leader of Information Systems and Communications Department at the Albertine Rift Conservation Society (ARCOS Network), a regional conservation and development NGO in Rwanda. There, he was responsible for providing leadership and coordination of ARCOS’ communications and outreach activities at the national, regional, and continental levels. He also coordinated its Forest Landscape Restoration Initiative.
Gilbert holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the National University of Rwanda.
