Ella Dodson
Project Manager, TerraMatch, Global Restoration Initiative

Ella supports the management of TerraFund, an initiative that finances small enterprises and community non-profit organizations to restore land in Africa, Latin America, and South Asia.
In her role, Ella oversees the Harit Bharat Fund, a new patient capital fund for similar organizations in Central India. Additionally, she manages verification processes for TerraFund's Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) system at WRI. These protocols are integral to ensuring accountability and trust in the restoration sector.
Before joining WRI, Ella focused her efforts on supporting human rights organizations and marginalized communities, particularly in Thailand and Malaysia, conducting research projects, and promoting sustainable project development throughout Southeast Asia.
Academically, Ella holds an M.Sc. in Sustainable Urban Development from the Technical University of Berlin and a B.A. from Western Michigan University.
Outside of work, Ella enjoys fresh flowers, ceramics, and passionately follows women's soccer.
