Claire Shapiro
Product Specialist, TerraMatch
Claire Shapiro is a Product Specialist in the Forests Department, working on TerraMatch. Claire supports restoration champions in all stages of their engagement on the platform, from applying for funding to establishing projects to completing reporting. In addition to providing direct user support, Claire helps maintain the Help Center that is accessible to all TerraMatch users, and liases with TerraMatch's technical team to improve the user experience on the platform.
Before joining WRI, Claire interned at World Wildlife Fund, where she assisted with research, data analysis, and production of the organization’s strategic framework for engagement on infrastructure. Claire has a background in non-profit work, including two years managing group sales and coordinating events at ECHO, a leading science and nature center in Vermont.
Claire holds a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Vermont, and a M.S. in Conservation Leadership from Colorado State University. She lives in Washington, DC. Outside of WRI, Claire volunteers with the House Rabbit Society, and enjoys hiking, knitting, and baking.
