Catherine Beal
Engagement Coordinator, Climate Resilience Practice

Catherine Beal is an Engagement Coordinator for the Climate Resilience Practice. Her work focuses on engaging stakeholders to raise ambition for adaptation and translate commitments into action.
Prior to joining WRI, Catherine was a consultant for the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) where she conducted research on climate-smart agriculture adoption and participatory action research with a focus on gender and social inclusion.
Catherine holds a MSc in Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security from the National University of Ireland, Galway. She completed her thesis research in collaboration with CIAT Vietnam, which focused on identifying channels to improve the delivery of climate information services to marginalized coffee farmers in Vietnam. Catherine is a Northern Virginia native, but is currently based in Southern Maryland.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, cooking, and live music.
