Brian Zepka is a Research Manager for the Electric School Bus Initiative. He manages research activities that advance the initiative's goal of an equitable transition of the U.S. school bus fleet to electric by 2030.

Prior to joining WRI, Brian led research and evaluation projects at a nonprofit organization focused on tobacco control and environmental health. He also worked for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention where he provided technical assistance for community-based health literacy and youth development programs.

Brian holds a Master of Public Health and B.S. in Biology. Currently, he is pursuing his doctorate in environmental health at Johns Hopkins University.

Outside of WRI, Brian is a published author of young adult fiction. He also enjoys reading, hiking, and traveling to new places.
