Brian Masila Mwau
STAND Grants and Contracts Manager

Brian Masila Mwau serves as the STAND Grants and Contracts Manager in the Operations department, supporting different countries across the globe. He is responsible for overseeing due diligence, financial capacity building, the administration of sub-granting and procurement activities, as well as overall Grants and contracts management.
Prior to joining WRI, Brian worked as a Grants Officer for Thomson Reuters Foundation, where he supported a portfolio of grants through partner management, conducting due diligence, financial capacity building, grants audits and grants finance in the Africa region and other global programs. Previously he also worked for Plan International, World Vision Kenya, RTI international and Development Alternatives Inc. (DAI).
Brian holds Master’s degree in project planning and management from University of Nairobi, Bachelor of Science in Financial Engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, CPA, Financial Modelling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA) and Business Intelligence & Data Analyst (BIDA) from Corporate Finance Institute Canada.
Brian lives in Kenya with his wife, Faith, and son, Mitch. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and listening to music.
