Beth Elliott
Communications and Engagement Lead, Air Quality, WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities
Beth Elliott works with WRI's Air Quality team to communicate the public health, economic and environmental benefits of reducing air pollution. She leads communications and engagement for Clean Air Catalyst, the USAID flagship program led by WRI and EDF.
Previously, she managed communications for WRI's international climate initiatives. She came to WRI from the World Bank Group where she coordinated media outreach for the climate and carbon finance team and produced videos and high-profile live events about sustainable development issues. At Cater Communications, she developed public relations strategies for clients interested in advancing the bipartisan conversation on climate change. She started her career as a broadcast journalist at CNN producing interviews and segments for shows such as Wolf Blitzer Reports and Amanpour and covering the U.S. State Department, 9/11, multiple presidential elections and other major breaking news stories.
Beth is a graduate of Georgetown University and has a master’s degree in International Communication from the School of International Studies at The American University.
She lives in Kensington, Maryland with husband, Mark, and three daughters.
